I was trained at the Center for Perceptual Systems in Austin, Texas.  I research how perceptual systems should be designed to perform vital tasks.  I also study the human visual system.

My interests are in vision science, perception, neuroscience, statistical inference, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

I created MoRPE.

I also created the ObjectParser software application and used it to create a database of segmented leaves.
